Cynthia A. Curtis

NORWAY – Cynthia A. Curtis, 77, of South Paris, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Norway on Nov. 22, 1943, the daughter of Frederick and Bernice (Parsons) Paul. Cynthia graduated from Oxford Hills High School with the class of 1962, then continued to nursing school to become an RN. She worked for Lewiston Sun Journal as a Photo Journalist, and with her late husband started Western Maine Driving Academy.Cynthia was an avid nature photographer, extensively travel including destinations like Mexico, Russia, Ireland, Alaska, Cuba, the Artic Circle, and by mailboat to Scandinavia. She enjoyed gardening, and cooking, and loved her dog Sam, the farm where she grew up and lived most of her life.Cynthia is survived by her niece Jennifer Shurak and her husband Ken, Nephews Jeremy Paul, and Daniel Paul and his partner Aime Fillds, Great nieces and nephews Zackary Tewksbury, Savannah Shurak, Kimberly Paul, Scarlette Paul, and Sterling Paul. She was pre deceased by her husband and Brothers Stephen and Jeffery Paul.Graveside services will be held on Saturday Nov. 13, 2021, at Fairview Cemetery East Oxford Road, South Paris, to share memories and online condolences with the family please go to http://www.chandlerfunerals.com.
