To the Editor:

The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club would like to thank The Olde Mill Tavern Restaurant for hosting our Pints for Polio fundraiser for polio eradication and awareness. Begun as a $1 per pint, the Olde Mill team expanded it to all beverages AND scheduled it from 3 p.m. to closing on Thursday, October 28.  Thank you so much for your generous donation and to all the folks who participated.

The event, with the Bill & Linda Gates Foundation 2:1 match, will result in almost $800 being donated to Polio Eradication. The donation helps pay for the teams of people worldwide, along with their equipment and supplies, who see that every child receives the life-saving polio vaccine. These medical teams helped during Covid-19 and will also support the distribution of the malaria vaccine where needed.

Good food, outstanding staff, excellent music by Bruce Marshall.  It was a wonderful event.  Thank you so very, very much.
