The Telstar Middle School Cross Country Team is receiving this year’s Sportsmanship Award.  Congratulations to the team voted “best example of fair and generous behavior towards competitors”, congratulating all runners regardless of finish time or team affiliation.  In part, this team’s award needs to be shared with the spectators, family, and friends who also exemplify and model good sportsmanship. The fans of the Telstar team cheered on all runners; they were some of the last to leave the finish line, long after Telstar’s runners finished.
The Telstar Middle School Cross Country Boys Team ended the season with a team win at the Winthrop Invitational on 10/28.  Kaiden Manjourides (6:48), Seth Dupuis (7:33), and Ryder Bailey (8:29) had their best pace of the year on Winthrop’s 1.7-mile course.  The Girls Team, led by Mallory Raymond (7:14), Parker Gilman (10:23), and Ceci Ross (10:46), also had their best pace of the season.   While the team says goodbye to Seth Dupuis as he heads to High School next year, the rest of the young team will be back in the woods next fall.
