Lee W. Jordan

BOWDOIN – Lee W. Jordan was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Bowdoin, Maine, to Berties and Elsie (Wheeler) Jordan. He died Nov. 20, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side. He grew up on a farm in Sabattus and started milking cows by the age of seven, when his father was recalled to service for World War II. He graduated from Sabattus High School. Lee served on active duty with the United States Navy from 1954-1958. He repaired electrical motors and worked in the electrical department at Bath Iron Works.

As a member of West Bowdoin Baptist Church, he was a youth activity leader, deacon, and was involved with other church activities. He was a member of Sagadahoc Grange and was Past Master of the Webster Masonic Lodge #164.

Lee enjoyed flower gardening, playing cribbage, being at the lake and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lyn, of 55 years, daughters Lydia Jordan, Laura Mullen and husband Dan, Liana Kelly and husband Joseph, Lucy Pasierb and husband Michael, sister Alice Jordan, grandchildren Elsie and Abbey Morgan, Zackery and Elliot Mullen, Cassie, Allie, and Declan Kelly, Logan Sutherland, and many other loving family members.

He is predeceased by his parents, sister Emma Jordan, and brothers Fred Jordan and wife Mary, and Ellery Jordan and wife Carol.

The funeral service will be held December 4, 2021 at 10:30am at the West Bowdoin Baptist Church 54 West Road Bowdoin Maine with a graveside service to follow. Visitation will be from 9:15am to 10:30 with a brief Masonic Ceremony at 9:20am. A reception will follow the graveside service in the parish hall.
