William F. Clough

AUBURN – William F. Clough, 87, of Auburn, formally of Kennebunkport, peacefully passed away at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Springvale to Palmer and Dorothy Clough of Kennebunkport.

He served in the Army, worked at LC Maling in the ’50s, Louis Chevrolet for 32 years and Clark Metal Fabrication for 14 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beverley; one son, Michael of Waterboro; one daughter, Kim Clark of Minot; two grandchildren, Cortney Muldoon and husband Paul, and Billy Clark and wife Kara; two great grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Maura and Maeve Muldoon; a close sister, Mary Lou Bernier; a brother in law Pudgy Gibson and his wife Faye, a brother in law Malcolm Philbrook Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his two sisters, Abby, and Ann Cluff and husband Arnold; a sister in law, Sandra Philbrook; brothers in law Bob Gibson and Harry Coombs.

Bill enjoyed going to all his grand kids games, following his sons band, dancing, camping, snowmobiling. In his later years cooking his many special recipes, socializing at the coffee shops and swinging on the deck with his great grandchildren. He loved spiritual music. The Gathier Brothers singing Old Friends was a favorite. Although he has left us we know he will always be near.
