SOUTH PARIS – Randall W. Fowler, 64, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends on Nov. 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Lisbon Falls on March 8, 1957, son of the late Willis and Harriett (Tarr) Fowler. He grew up in Lisbon Falls, where he attended Lisbon High School, graduating in 1975.

Randy worked at Robinson Manufacturing in Oxford for 25 years until it closed. He then worked at Maine Oxy for 10 years and then once the Oxford Casino opened, he started a new career as a card dealer.

On September 23, 1978, Randy married his loving wife, Cindy McEwen. In 1995, they were blessed with a daughter Cailyn Alexa Fowler, who was his pride and joy. He always enjoyed watching Cailyn play softball during her younger years and many years of dance recitals.

In his free time, Randy enjoyed hiking Evans Notch in the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

He was predeceased by his parents Willis and Harriett Fowler; his sisters Geraldine Paradie and Helen Leeders, brother-in-law, Ray Leeders; father-in-law, Thomas A. McEwen, mother-in-law, Mary McEwen Lane; niece, Debbie Paradie Lajoie and nephew, Ronald Paradie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Fowler; and his daughter, Cailyn Fowler, both of South Paris; his brother, David Fowler and wife Brenda of Zephyrhills, Fla., his sister, Gloria Gove of South Paris, his brother, Stephen Fowler of Pittsfield, his brothers-in-law James McEwen and his wife Michelle of Bristol, N.H. and David McEwen and his wife Marla of Salem, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

During his last days with us, Randy wanted a special thank you extended to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, especially his primary nurse Allison and the other hospice nurses, Tammy, Andie, Linda and Paulette; to his wife Cindy, his daughter Cailyn, his good friends Jeff Porter and Cliff King, and to the other family and friends who supported and provided care to him and his family over the last few weeks.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris with a brief service at 3 p.m. to share memories of Randy. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery, Paris Hill Road, South Paris. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
