Jillette E. Tyler

CANTON – Jillette Elaine Averill-Tyler passed away on Nov. 16, 2021, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, visited by loving family. She was born in Rumford on Nov. 2, 1971, the youngest of six children. Jillette graduated from Dirigo High School, and went on to marry Daryl Tyler Sr. in 1991. She served her country in the U.S. Navy from 1995 to 1999, and was stationed in California. The family moved back to Maine in 1998 where she lived in Canton with her husband and family. Jillette learned a love of the outdoors from her predeceased father, George Averill Sr., and a passion for cooking from her predeceased mother, Glennis Averill. Jillette’s cinnamon rolls were always a crowd favorite, as well as her cakes and cookies, by all who visited. She was an avid crafter, sewing and crocheting for her family. Jillette loved fishing and being in the in the outdoors, especially watching the birds.Jillette is survived and loved always by her husband, Daryl Tyler Sr.; children, Sammy-Jo and Travis Risner, Daryl Tyler Jr. and Nicole Pelton; and Lily-Ann Tyler; missed and loved by her siblings, George Averill Jr. and Timia Seager, Claude and Carrol Averill, Barry and Pam Averill, LeeAnn and Danny Bradbury, Jackie and Ed Williams. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always the first to spoil and cherish every smile from them, Michael, Matthew and Marcus Risner, Payton Tyler, and Zebastion Pelton. Jillette was a beautiful daughter, sister, wife, and mother who will be greatly missed.A graveside service will be held at a later date for the family.
