Robert L. “Bob” Prue Sr.

RUMFORD – Robert L. “Bob” Prue, Sr., died peacefully, Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at the Rumford Hospital after a brief illness. He was a resident of Roxbury.Born in Rumford, on April 12, 1937 he was the son of Ludger and Simone (Frechette) Prue. He was a graduate of Stephens High School, in Rumford and served four years in the Army National Guard. Bob retired after 40 years as a Machine Tender and Supervisor for Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Rumford. Throughout his life Bob enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and spending time at his camp in Carthage. He was a member of the American Legion, Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and the Rumford Elks.Bob is survived by his son, Robert, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Wales, a daughter Kathryn Prue and her companion Donald Zavadil of Hooksett, N.H., grandchildren, Jeremy Prue and wife Xenia, Joshua Prue and wife Emily, Jamie Prue, Ryan Murphy, Tyler Murphy, great-granddaughter Kali Prue and great-grandson Griffin Prue. He is also survived by brother Greg Prue and wife Theresa, sisters Nancy LeCours, Carol Nadeau and husband Butch, and Diane Jerabek and husband Rick. He was predeceased by a daughter Pamela and his former wife Mary Ann Prue.The family would like to thank the staff at Rumford Hospital, who provided compassionate care, during his stay.Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories with the family at http://www.meaderandson.com.At his request no funeral services will be held.
