The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club recently announced its Regional School Unit 16 student of the month recipient for December, Leksi Langevin. Leksi, left, a sixth grader from Minot Consolidated School, is described by her teacher, in a news release from the school, as a student who consistently holds herself to a high standard. She always comes to school with a smile and helps to support others, both inside and outside of class. She is a positive role model who brings out the best in everyone she comes in contact with.
