Donald A. Dubois

LISBON – Donald A. Dubois, born on May 28, 1935 in Grand Isle, passed away peacefully on Friday Dec. 3, 2021 at CMMC in Lewiston, at the age of 86.

He grew up in Lewiston and spent 27 years working for the Lewiston public works, a pride of his life. Even after having retirement cut short because of an injury, he always stayed true to his daily routine, waking up at 4:30 in the morning to get ready for the day and watching the news.

Don loved to stay busy, whether it was shoveling the snow or keeping up with the yard or going for a walk. Anyone that knew Don knows he loved to tell stories and no matter the situation he had one to tell you, and hope you had extra time that day. Don also loved his country music and old westerns so some of those stories would be about the Grand Ole Opry or John Wayne.

Don raised his family in Lisbon and is survived by his wife Joan Dubois; their four children, Debbie Jo, Denise, Diane, and Donald; his brother Clarence; and five grandchildren, Jeffery, Joshua, Tyler, Brooke, and Phillip. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Annie; his brother Roger and sisters Fern and Antoinette.

Funeral services and celebration of life will be held in the spring and there will be further information put out when the time comes closer.
