Rodney “Bing” Cross

ROXBURY – Rodney “Bing” Cross, 79, died peacefully Saturday Dec. 4, 2021 at his residence in Roxbury.

Born in Berlin New Hampshire on Dec. 17, 1941, he was a son of Rodney W. and Sylvie (Lapham) Cross. Bing was a graduate of Woodstock High School. He took pride in being a skilled mechanic at Hathaway‘s. He served many years as Chief of Police for the town of Dixfield and was also a skilled carpenter in the area. Bing also served many terms as selectman for the town of Roxbury. He was a member of Jefferson Masonic Lodge #100 in Bryant Pond.

Bing loved spending time with his wife and dog Maggy, spending time with family and friends, visiting with his grandchildren, his boat and jet ski, snowmobiling, camping, ATVing, hunting, and anything outdoors.

Bing is survived by his loving wife, Denise of Roxbury; his children, Tim and wife Linda, Sootie and husband Michael, Nathan and wife Christina, AJ and wife Jessica, Michael Nadeau and Michelle Nadeau; siblings Buster and wife Evelyn, Neva, Annie and husband Bill, Dicky and wife Judy, Roger and wife Sylvia, Lillian, Evie and husband Ronald; grandchildren Mallory and husband Kevin, Natalie, Michael and wife Chelsea, Brian, Maddyson, Hunter, Haley, Parker, and Callie; great-grandchildren Owen and Nora; his good friends Tim DeRouche and wife Anita and Karl Greeman and wife Carol.
