FARMINGTON — Tracy Williams, principal of W.G. Mallett School learned of  a clean-up effort during this weekend undertaken by Fletcher Reynolds, second grader at Mallett. He came to the playground with his mother (Sara Reynolds) to try to find the missing mask of a special friend. In the process, they noticed a lot of ‘mask trash’. They got gloves at home and returned. Fletcher picked up 32 masks and additional trash around school. He then worked on signs with his mother.

Monday morning he hung them around the W.G.Mallett school (pictured with one of the posters he made) with help from friend, Gabe Malone. He also did a public service announcement on our Monday Morning announcements, reading from a speech he had written, asking other students to please take better care of their masks.

Mallett is working on a ‘chain of kindness’ this month and Fletcher’s efforts are a great fit.
