Marcel R. Dube Sr.

AUBURN – Marcel R. Dube Sr., 88 of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 at the Marshwood Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on July, 9, 1933, a son of the late Joseph and Viola Poisson Dube.

Following school he served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a member of the Korean War Conflict. Returning home, he married Eva King on May 30, 1956. They were married 65 years. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Holy Cross church. He and his family camped at Muskegon Camping on Hogon Pond in Oxford for 22 years. He was an avid bowler, hockey and horseshoe player.

Marcel dearly loved his large family, son, Marcel Dube Jr. and wife Karen of Florida, daughter, Kathy Ann Killebrew a life partner Keith Churchill; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, Nichole, Johnathan, Melissa and Sean; eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Sheldon King and his wife Claudette of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard; and his parents.

The family would like to thank Mary of Androscoggin Homehealth for three years of excellent care she gave Marcel at home and the staff at Marshwood for care during his final days.

A funeral will be planned in the spring.
