Laurier A. Boulet

AUBURN – Mr. Laurier A. Boulet, 88, passed away peacefully, Dec. 18, 2021, at the Hospice House in Auburn. The son of Valere Boulet and Alice Bilodeau, he was born on July 19th, 1933, in Lewiston and grew up in the shadow of St. Mary’s Church and the open air of Kennedy Park. A tremendous love for his family, his faith, and a strong work ethic would characterize his life. Larry was educated in Lewiston schools and married the former Florence B. Roux on June 24, 1961. After returning from activation with the Army National Guard for the Cuban Missile Crisis, they settled in Lewiston together to raise their family. He served his country for over 20 years in the Army Reserve, achieving the rank of Sgt. 1st class while supporting his family in the electrical trade as a Master Electrician. Larry worked many years for Deblois Electric and retired from BIW as a Leadman for Dept 19. Larry would go on to spend countless hours doting on his grandchildren, volunteering in his community and at Holy Family Church, and enjoying time outdoors. He was also a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 10019, Assembly 2516. Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence Boulet of Lewiston. A son, James Boulet and wife Nicole, a daughter, Linda Lacombe and husband Michael, a son, Steven Boulet and wife Lisa, all of Lewiston; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Boulet and wife Lorraine, Richard Boulet and wife Tina, and sister, Rita Sweetser; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and home-care staff who tended to him over these past nine years. A special thank you to the staff at Androscoggin Hospice House for their loving support to Larry and his family. A private viewing will be held the morning of the funeral. The funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church on Thursday, December 23rd at 11:00 am, with committal prayers to follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
