Patrick A. Ouellette Jr.
LEWISTON – Patrick A. Ouellette Jr., AKA “Pop Pop,” 78, of Greene, passed away from complications of heart surgery on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on June 21, 1943, he was the son of Patrick A. Ouellette Sr. and Mildred Lachance St. Hilare. Educated locally, he was a graduate of Edward Little High School, class of ‘61, served in the US Navy doing aircraft maintenance on the USS Independence, and later attended CMVTI. He retired from GE in Auburn after 34 years, and then worked at the IGA, now called Gowell’s Shop ‘n Save, in Greene, doing stock work part time for the past 11 years. He married Sheena Douglas on Aug. 27, 1976.Pat is survived by his loving wife, a son, Benjamin, daughter Nicole and husband Adam Varney, all of Greene, daughter Carol and fiance Sean Gondarowski of Massachusetts, daughter Cindy of New York, and a grandson, Taylor Varney, who was the world to him. Pat especially loved to watch Taylor’s basketball games.Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Ouellette. A Celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, 2 – 5 p.m., at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home in Lewiston. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
