Gloria M. Hamel
RUMFORD – Gloria M. Hamel, 82, died Monday Dec. 20, 2021 at the Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of Roxbury.
Born in Roxbury, on Feb. 21, 1939, she was the daughter of Louis and Emma (Noble) Touchette.
Gloria was married at Roxbury Pond on July 1, 1957, to Wilfred Hamel, Jr. Survivors include her daughter Terri Starbird and husband Glenn of Mexico, sons, Fred Hamel and wife Sue of Peru, Tim Hamel of Roxbury, Daniel Hamel and wife Corrine of Turner, Wayne Hamel and wife Linda of Roxbury, Jerry Hamel and wife Angela of Rumford, Ross Hamel of Rumford; sisters, Linda White of Mexico, Kathy Talbot of Turner; brothers, David and Michael Touchette of Roxbury and Robert of Holliston, Mass.
She was predeceased by a daughter Peggy Elliott, a son Paul, sisters, Patty Thibodeau, Roseanna Seigle, brothers, Gordon, Douglas, Phillip, Andrew, Dennis, Gary, Donald, Louis, Jr, and a grandson Stephen Hamner.
She will be sadly missed and was loved by all.

Funeral services will be held in the spring. Interment in the spring will be in the Pineview Cemetery in Roxbury. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
