
Thomas C. Foster
SOUTH PARIS – Thomas C. Foster, 73, went to his eternal home on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1948, in Natick, Mass., a son of the late Robert and Dorothea (Sunderland) Foster. He was a graduate of Gould Academy and later received an associates degree at Bob Jones University. Prior to multiple bouts with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Thomas worked as a mobile homes manufacturer. Thomas was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and hiking.
His greatest joy was spending time with his children and his granddaughter. He also enjoyed time spent in good conversation over a meal or coffee with his many dear friends.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Caroline A. Foster of Auburn; daughter, Deleah Foster of Greenville, S.C., daughter, Naomi Foster of Taunton, Mass., son, Devon Foster and wife Jennifer of Franklin, Ind., daughter, Sherilyn Valentin and husband Jonathan of Hendersonville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Adalynn Foster of Franklin, Ind.; brother, Robert “Doc” Foster and wife Terry of Millis, Mass., brother, James Foster and wife Barbara of Portland, brother, Jerald Foster of Kennebunk, brother, William Foster and wife Kate of Warren, Mass., and sister, Barbara Russo and husband John of Bellingham, Mass.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents Robert and Dorothea Foster; brother, John Foster and sister, Cynthia Beasley.
The family will hold visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 12 p.m to 2 p.m with a service at 2 p.m at Poland Baptist Church, RR 26, Poland, ME 04274. Burial will take place at the Riverside Annex in South Paris in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
