Anita L. Moreau
AUBURN – Anita L. Moreau, 89, gave her family one last Christmas with her before passing on Dec. 26, 2021. She was born on Sept. 17, 1932.
Born and raised in Auburn, she married Roger Moreau in 1950. Together they raised two children, R. Michael and Debra. She was a tremendously hard worker, a go-getter, and a woman ahead of her time in many ways.
The matriarch of the family, Anita was the provider, doer, worrier, protector, and ever-present figure of love and support. We will always remember her lovingly.
She is survived by her son, Mike and his wife Anita; daughter Debbie and husband Buzz; grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Marissa, Andre, Trisha, and Brian; great-grandchildren Sam, Hunter, AJ, Dakota, Auston, Gabe, Emma, and Bryce; and sister Cecile Durrant.
She was predeceased by her husband Roger; her parents Norbert and Annie Bolduc; sisters Pat Lemire and Yvette Edgington; and many spoiled four-legged family members.
Anita’s family extends sincere gratitude to the staff of Clover Health Care, and Androscoggin Hospice for sacrificing their holiday to provide dignified comfort care in her final hours.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
