Daniel L. Pelletier
LEWISTON – Daniel L. Pelletier, 63, of Lewiston passed away at home of natural causes on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021. Born in Lewiston on April 17, 1958, he was the son of Lucien and Constance Pelletier.
Dan was raised in Lewiston where he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, class of 1976.
Dan was predeceased by his wife and partner, Patricia Caouette Pelletier and their infant daughter, Michelle. Their relationship endured throughout their lives and provided each of them great support.
Dan worked for over 18 years with his good friend Tim Boucher at Maine Concrete. Beginning in 1998, Dan worked for the City of Lewiston Public Works Department and retired in 2021.
He was a longtime member and sometimes bartender at the Webber Avenue Club. With his warm personality, he developed many friendships.
He loved playing cards, poker and cribbage. In his later years he played with Moe Vachon almost daily.
He loved to golf and especially enjoyed the 19th hole. Dan loved exploring the coast of Maine. He attained his lifelong dream of owning a Harley Davidson.
He met Greg and Monique “Nicky” Niva in his younger years and built a forever bond.
Dan was known for being the best hugger. He was like a big teddy bear. Dan had a face and eyes that could light up a room. He had a unique sense of humor and was known for many funny sayings including “Concrete is the boss.”
Dan is survived by his son Matthew and his grandchildren, Ethan and Emma. Dan was a proud father and grandfather who enjoyed watching Ethan play hockey.
He is also survived by his parents of Lewiston; his brother, Michael Pelletier and his wife, Liz. Dan had many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly but “we all know who was his favorite”.
In the famous words of Dan “We’re never getting out of this world alive”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Cross Church, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11 AM. Inurnment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Condolences and memories of Dan may be shared online at http://www.albert-burpee.com .
