Mrs. Regina C. Poulin

LEWISTON – Mrs. Regina C. Poulin, 103, of The Odd Fellows’ and Rebekahs’ Home of Maine passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2022. She was born in St. Agatha, Maine, on Feb. 26, 1918, the daughter of Denis and Marie (Hebert) Chassé. In the early 1940s she moved to the Lewiston area from Aroostook County to work at the Continental Mill. In September 1947, she married her husband Gerard Poulin. They were happily married for 33 years. Regina will be remembered for her beautiful gardens, leaf raking, and love of knitting. She enjoyed being with family anytime, looked forward to summer trips with her sisters and family to St. Agatha, and longed for Chassé Road. She was a dedicated parishioner of Holy Cross Church and volunteer. She is survived by her daughter Joan Heckethorn and son-in-law Rollie Heckethorn of Auburn, son Roger Poulin and son-in-law James Gemmell of Portland, four grandchildren; Shanon Heckethorn, Sean Heckethorn, Katherine Poulin, Elizabeth Poulin and their spouses and partners, two loving sisters, Alma Mathieu and Artheline Vyr, both of Lewiston, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Gerard, son Richard Poulin, brothers Romeo Chassé, Benoit Chassé, Paul Emile Chassé, and sisters Corinne Asselin, Edwina Maillet, and Marie May Ouellette.

There will be a private ceremony for the immediate family at the Louis Garden Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery on Monday, Jan. 10, and a celebration of her life this summer.
