Lewiston Public Library plans to offer the following talks about Maine’s winter animals on its YouTube channel and LPL Kids Facebook page.

• “Hibernators” set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 will focus on animals who hibernate, or enter an extended sleep-like period, for the entire winter.

• “Semi-Hibernators,” planned 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, is about animals who only semi-hibernate, those who may sleep for extended periods but wake up on warmer days to eat.

• “Awake All Winter”  will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, will give participants the opportunity to learn how to identify the tracks left behind  by animals who have been awake all winter.

Additional free coloring pages and a suggested booklist will be available in the children’s department, currently open by appointment only, and through libraries To Go door pickup.

The library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon St.
