From simple to extravagant, no party is too big or too small for “The Gallivanting Gourmet,” the husband-and-wife team of Stephen and Leah Stevens run the family catering out of their home on Nichols Street in South Paris. The couple has begun their second year of business. “We started it as a hobby after the kids were gone and we had a lot of free time,” says Leah. “I didn’t realize it was going to be nearly as complicated as it is. but now it seems like it’s gotten quite a bit simpler, because we really know exactly what’s happening, and it’s a lot of fun.” Their staff ensures that the client’s function is a worry-free, relaxing and enjoyable experience. From menu planning to preparation, set-up and clean-up, their staff does it all. “I’m the baker and Stephen’s the chef.” Leah says. At functions, Leah’s job is to oversee that everything runs smoothly and Stephen’s job is to make sure the food is top-quality, and ready on time.
