James J. Swenson
WALES – James J. Swenson, 59, of 124 Ridge Road in Wales, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
Born in St. Paul, Minn., on Nov. 27, 1962, he was the son of Jerome and Gertrude Swenson. James grew up in St. Hilare, Minn., married his high school sweetheart, and moved to Maine 22 years ago. A computer engineer, he was employed for many years by Tyler Technologies in Yarmouth.
Besides his loving wife of 35 years, the former Denise R. Wehage of Wales, he is survived by two daughters, Cassandra Swenson of Tucson, Ariz., Alexis Swenson of Wales, two stepdaughters, Jennifer Birckbichler and husband Matt of Arab, Ala., and Stephanie Jerumbo and husband Ron of Flagstaff, Ariz.; five brothers, Bob, Gary, Doug, Dale, and Sandy; eight grandchildren, Jayden, Hailey, Kaleb, Emma, Kambria, Savannah, Austin, and Brooklyn.
A celebration of James’ life will be held Monday, Jan. 17, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home in Lewiston. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
