James Scott Estabrook Sr.

LITCHFIELD – James Scott Estabrook, Sr. passed on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, after battling cancer, that took him far too soon.

He was born in Lewiston, May 14, 1966, the son of Vaughn and Marie (Flaherty) Estabrook. He was predeceased by his father Vaughn B. Estabrook and his mother Marie Flaherty.

James had a big fun-loving family. He is survived by his stepmother Margret Estabrook; six brothers and sisters; his own three children, eldest daughter Joan Lagasse, spouse Gregory Lagasse and their two children Hailey and Gregory, younger daughter Jamie Brooks and husband Adam, and their two daughters, Hayden and Jazmine, and son James Estabrook, II and wife Hannah; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and a few great nieces and nephews.

James was a caring, kind, understanding, loving dad, grandpa, brother, son and friend. His laugh and smile were infectious, and he had a great sense of humor. He loved his kids with everything, and always supported them in life. His grandkids were his world. His greatest friends were his elder brother Barry and his younger brothers George and Bill. He will be missed always, and forever be in our hearts.

Always remember the good times not the hard times.

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” psalms 73:26.

There will be no services at the time.
