Hailey Caron, a sixth grader from Elm Street School in Mechanic Falls, has been named Regional School Unit 16’s student of the month recipient for January, as announced by the Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club.
According to a news release from the club, teacher Valerie Young describes Hailey as a diligent, hardworking student who exemplifies the Optimist creed. Committed to growing as a student, she takes on challenging tasks, seeks feedback and makes modifications. She is a true friend who is sensitive to the needs of others and who likes to help her classmates.
Hailey is a role model who brings a lot of joy to her school community, according to a news release from the club.
