NORWAY – Harvey W. Lamontagne Jr., 87, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born in Biddeford, on April 13, 1934 to Margaret (Harmon) and Harvey W. Lamontagne Sr. He graduated from Thornton Academy.Before retiring from his extensive golf career, he spent nineteen years at Paris Hill Country Club as a golf director. Winters were spent at Boca West Country Club, in Boca Raton, FL, as head golf instructor. Harvey was in the Maine Golf Hall of Fame and named Teacher of the Year in 1992 by the New England PGA. Harvey is survived by his wife, Catherine (McDonald) Lamontagne, daughters Linda Kennedy and Susan Black, both of Saco, son Harvey W. Lamontagne III of South Paris and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.A memorial service will take place in the spring, date and time to be announced. Donations in his memory can be made to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston.
