Normand R. “Skippy” Thibault

PORTLAND – Normand R. “Skippy” Thibault, 70, of Lisbon died on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Lewiston on May 14, 1951, the son of the late Lionel and Theresa (Caron) Thibault. He lived in Lewiston his whole life and worked for 28 years at the Lewiston Public Works.

Normand loved his Patriots, Red Sox and the Boston Bruins and of course playing cards with his buddies. He was a big joker and always tried to make everyone happy, laugh and smile. He loved to cook and to dine out, and go to the ocean especially Old Orchard Beach which always made him happy. He will always be loved and missed forever.

He is survived by his wife, Mona (Pelletier) Thibault of Lisbon; a son, Ryan Thibault of Lewiston, and his daughter, Monica Thibault of Lewiston. He was very proud of his children. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kaylee Grenier, Evan Grenier and Miiya LaFrance; a brother, Robert Thibault and his wife Joline, and a sister, Lorraine Thibault.

A memorial service honoring Normand’s life will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston.
