Due to the approaching winter storm, the Lewiston Solid Waste Facility and the Lewiston Public Library will be closed.
AUBURN
Auburn has implemented a parking ban beginning 7 a.m. Saturday through 11 a.m. Sunday. According to the city, the “Downtown Parking District” is exempt from the ban between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. For more details, visit www.auburnmaine.gov.
The 2022 Auburn WinterFest has had some events canceled or rescheduled due to the storm. For up-to-date information, click here. City staff said skating parties planned in Anniversary Park have been moved to next weekend. The Lost Valley Frozen 5K snowshoe and winter duathlon planned for Saturday was canceled due to “COVID/lack of staffing,” according to its website.
LISBON
Lisbon has issued a parking ban from 6 a.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Due to the inclement weather, the Transfer Station and library will not be open Saturday, as well as the Town Office, Recreation Office and Waste Water Treatment Plant. Regular office hours will resume Monday.
SABATTUS
Due to the storm there will be a parking ban in effect from 8 p.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday.
