Leon Allen Toler

NEW BERN, N.C. – Leon Allen Toler, 81, of New Bern, N.C. passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022.Allen, nickname “Monk”, was an extremely talented artist and teacher. He served our country as Airforce air police, receiving commendations and an honorable discharge.He served our community for decades as a actor and production designer for the New Bern Civic Theatre, Rivertowne Players Theatre, and Tryon Palace. He was a proud member of the Masonic lodge and Shriner, achieving a 32nd level degree. Allen made the world a better place and he will be missed and forever remembered by everyone who knew him. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday Feb. 4 at Cedar Grove Cemetery Extension.
