Charles F. Huff Jr.

LEWISTON – Charles F. Huff Jr., 80, of Norway passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center. He was born in Norway on Sept. 12, 1941, the son of Liston and Winnifred Dunham Brown. He attended both Norway and Paris High School, where he was active playing sports, graduating in 1960. He was an avid sports fan, Patriots, Red Sox and the NFL. In his younger years he enjoyed racing at Oxford Plains Speedway #68, coaching and he played baseball for the Norway Paris Twins. He married Shirley Newcomb, they enjoyed 55 years of marriage. He worked in commercial tire sales at Noyes Tire, Jewell Tire and Stratham Tire. He retired from the Norway Paris Transfer Station. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, as well as time spent at camp with family. He took great pride in his twin granddaughters over the years, attending their sporting events, school activities and was especially proud when they both graduated college this past Spring.Charles is survived by his wife Shirley of Norway; son G. Scott Huff and wife Laurie of Norway; twin granddaughters Anna and Emily Huff; brother Brian Huff of Myrtle Beach, S.C..; and nephews Kyle and Kevin. He was predeceased by his older brother Bruce.Graveside services will be held in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery in Norway. Time and date to be announced.
