SABATTUS — The Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a house fire Monday that left one man dead,  Shannon Moss, public information officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said Tuesday.

The body of Edward Greenier, 69, was found after the blaze was extinguished at 21 Moore Drive, Moss said. An autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death, she said.

Sabattus police and fire departments responded to the home at 4:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a possible fire-related incident with possible injury.
