Evelyn L. Tuttle

LEWISTON – Evelyn L. Tuttle, 97, of Lewiston, passed away on Jan. 28, 2022.

Evelyn was born on July 27, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Leavitt. Evelyn was a graduate of Lewiston High School. She worked at St. Joseph School for many years. On Feb. 10, 1951 she married Charles F. Tuttle of Lewiston. Charles passed away on Oct. 31, 1980. A devout Catholic, Evelyn was a member of St Joseph Church and the Queens Guild Sodality.

She enjoyed trips to Florida at Christmastime with her family. She had a love for the ocean and would spend many summers at Old Orchard Beach with family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her children, daughter, Sharon Tuttle Dreyer of Lewiston, son, John and wife Susan of Lewiston; grandchildren Kristina Morissette and husband John of Middleburg, Fla., Kimberly Tuttle and partner John of Reston, Va. and Sara Berube and husband Brian of Lewiston; as well as great-grandchildren Logan and Delaney Berube of Lewiston; Joseph and Emily Morissette and family; Scott and Amber Morissette and family; and John Michael and Megan Morissette and family.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Charles; and brothers Leonard and Jack, sister-in-law, Amy Ashton; and dear friend, Helen Vaughn.

We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jim, Margaret, Alice and the Clover staff for their compassionate care given to our mother while living at Clover Manor.

A memorial Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church, on May 11,

at 11 a.m. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
