Kenneth A. Bubier

AUBURN – Kenneth A. Bubier, 93, of Sabattus, passed away on Jan. 30, 2022, at Androscoggin Hospice House. He was born in Greene, on July 27, 1928, the eldest son of Forrest and Beatrice (Pettingill) Bubier. He attended school in Greene and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1946.

He married his first wife, Irma (Hodgkins) Bubier in 1949 and raised their children on their family farm in Greene.

Kenneth was a hard worker who enjoyed boating, fishing, bird watching, gardening, snowmobiling and four wheeling. He worked at Steven’s Hardware and Feed where he met his second wife, Evelyn Wood, of Sabattus. They married at the Greene Baptist Church in 1990.

Kenneth was a gentle giant, who was soft spoken, and always had a listening ear and wisdom to share. He loved being upta camp with the boys, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bubier; his son, Bruce Bubier and wife Gretchen of Greene, his daughter, Jane Richardson and husband, Danny of Turner, his daughter, Joyce Dooley and Jimmy of Arkansas, his stepson, Oakie Shedd and his wife Nan of Sabattus, and stepson Jim Shedd and wife Rebecca of Sabattus; and his brother, Gerald; 13 grandchildren, Neeley, Jessica, Paulette, Jill, Mandy, Ashley, Misti, Colby, Jake, Adam, Emily, Matt, and Katie; and 28 great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Irma Bubier; two children, Gail and Glenn; three brothers, David, Clayton, Phillip; and a great-grandson, Nathan Capponi.
