Linda Henderson Steele

LIVERMORE – Linda Henderson Steele, 75, of Livermore, went to sleep in our Lord Jesus at Maine Medical Center in Portland on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at 5:55 p.m. due to Covid Virus complications. Linda was born in Auburn on Sept. 23, 1946, to Grace and Harry Henderson, who are predeceased. She moved to Florida as a child and returned to Maine years later.Linda was a very kind and loving woman who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a professional florist for over 35 years with both silks and florals. She also had her own shop for several years in Turner. She had a very vivid imagination and created many wonderful and unique gifts. She loved sunflowers and gardening. She was a wonderful cook and lived a very healthy lifestyle. She also had a prison christian ministry and won many inmates to our Lord Jesus. Linda also wrote a christian children’s book to be published at a later time.She fought a long battle with kidney disease, was a dialysis patient for over 17 years and loved the staff at the Augusta clinic.She is survived by her husband, Joseph Steele, two sisters, Nancy Hurd and husband Robert, and Patricia Calvo; two children, Jeremy Stone and Dennise Ballard; a sister-in-law, Anne Sperdakos and husband Nicholas; and four grandchildren, Jessie, Autumn, Savannah, and Sierra Ballard. Also surviving are her many friends and church family, as well as her two furbabies, 2B and Annie.Words cannot describe the pain and sorrow felt at the passing of such a beautiful person. She will forever live in the heart of her husband Joseph and all who knew and loved her. We will all reunite someday in Glory.A memorial service will be held for Linda at a later time in the spring.
