AUBURN — The Lewiston-Auburn 911 Emergency Communications Center Committee recently selected Timothy Hall as the center’s new director.

Committee Chairman Jason Moen, chief of the Auburn Police Department, noted in a news release that Hall’s experience, training and performance as the center’s operations manager were major factors in the committee’s decision to choose Hall: “Tim’s experience as … manager as well as his vision for the center’s future made him the obvious choice to replace outgoing Director Paul Leclair.”

Hall has been a member of the center since 2009, serving as dispatcher, trainer and supervisor.

“I am honored to have been chosen as the center’s next director and look forward to the challenges ahead in this new position,” Hall said. “It was nearly 22 years ago that I first stepped through the door of an emergency communications center; it’s not a career that fits everyone, but it is exceptionally rewarding to recognize you are part of something critically important to your community.”
