The award, which is given to the top Class A senior boys hockey player in Maine by the Class A Hockey Coaches Association, will be presented Saturday, March 19, at a banquet in Auburn.

Keefe has tallied 28 points (17 goals and 11 assists) in 18 games for the Red Eddies this season, while Knowlton has 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 17 games for the Blue Devils. Top-seeded Edward Little and eighth-seeded Lewiston face off in the Class A quarterfinals Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Norway Savings Bank Arena.

Edward Little has had two previous Travis Roy Award winners, Kyle Smith in 2004 and Josh Benson in 2002.

Four Lewiston players have won the award: Ryan Pomerleau (2020), Jeromey Rancourt (2017), Kyle Lemelin (2014) and Cam Poussard (2011).

The finalists for the award will be announced after next week’s semifinal games.

Due to gathering limits during the COVID-19 pandemic, this season’s winner will be the first to receive the award at a banquet since Lisbon’s Noah Austin in 2019. Lewiston’s Pomerleau received the honor during a live-streamed ceremony in 2020, and Falmouth’s Owen Drummey was announced as winner last year at Norway Savings Bank Arena with only family members of the finalists in attendance.
