Rose-Marie Cora (Lauze) Trocki

DORCHESTER, Mass. – Rose-Marie Cora (Lauze) Trocki, 68, formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022 at the Bostonian Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center from complications of a kidney infection, COVID, MS and pneumonia.She was born on Nov. 2, 1953 to Rosario and Cora (Lauze) Dubois and was the adopted daughter of Bill and Germaine (Mailhot) Lauze of Lewiston.Rose attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and then St. Dominic Regional High School, graduating in 1971. She graduated from Merrimack College in 1975.In 1977 she married Thomas Trocki of Massachusetts, and they made a life for themselves in Arlington, Mass., where they raised their two sons, Ben and Matthew.Rose worked in the clerical department of Spectrowax Cleaning products for many years, until she could no longer do so, due to MS, which she was diagnosed with in 1994.In her younger years, Rose enjoyed playing tennis and was a member of the St. Dom’s tennis team. She also enjoyed her many summers spent with her family at Taylor Pond on Valview Drive in Auburn, where she loved to swim and water ski. Her favorite activities were playing boardgames, cards and reading. As an adult, she also enjoyed crafting and gardening.When she needed more care, she moved to Standish Village in Dorchester’s Lower Mills, and made many friends. She enjoyed all the activities that this assisted living facility offered, rarely sitting idly in her room. Her friends from Maine joked that she was hard to get in touch with because she was never in her room to answer her phone. Rose always considered herself fortunate for the good care she was receiving at Standish Village and loved calling it her home.Rose also enjoyed her once a year visits from her life-long high school friends, Carmen, Sandie, Christine, Pat, Linda, Diane, Sue, Florence, Claire and Jean. Whoever could make it would car pool to Dorchester where Rose would love to show off her earring and T-shirt collections. At lunch out, she always began her meal with her favorite, a Margarita. Her biological brother, Bill, and his wife, Cindy, from Auburn, visited more often, and would also enjoy her company over lunches and movies out.Rose is survived by her husband, Thomas Trocki, of Arlington, Mass.; and their two sons, Benjamin of Girdwood, Alaska and Matthew of Chillicothe, Mo.She also leaves behind her biological siblings, Robert Dubois of Texas, Venise Guyette of Idaho, Peggy Girard of Texas, Donald Dubois of Maine, Andre Dubois of Delaware, Therese Dubois of Texas, Bill Dubois of Maine, Rachel Dubois of California, and her brother through adoption, Paul Lauze of New York.She was predeceased by her parents Rosario Dubois and Cora Lauze Dubois, her parents through adoption, Bill and Germaine (Mailhot) Lauze; her biological siblings, Jolene Ashker and Paul Dubois, and her brother in adoption, Richard Lauze.There will a private family service at a later date.
