Douglas “Doug” G. Parker

AUBURN – Douglas “Doug” G. Parker, 63, of Turner, peacefully passed away at Androscoggin Hospice House with his family at his side on March 11, 2022.

Douglas was born on Feb. 21, 1959, in Lewiston. He is the son of the late Barbara (Piper) and Burton Parker. He was educated in the Auburn school system and graduated at Edward Little High School in 1977. He continued his education and received an associate degree in welding and fabrication. He worked for Pike Industries, the “asphalt junkies” for over 23 years as a roller operator.

Doug was a generous and caring person. He would give his shirt off his back to family and friends. Doug had a heart of gold. He had a subtle sense of humor and was known for his infamous snicker.

Doug had many talents and skills working with metal and restoring Mopars with his brother Rick. He enjoyed racing at Oxford Plains and Winterport. And looked forward to his annual camping trips with family at Acadia National Park.

He is survived by his beloved Catherine Lelansky, her daughter Jenna and granddaughter, Acadia: and his dog, Rosie; his brother and best friend, Kendrick Parker and wife Lou-Anne, sisters Stephanie Parker, Burtina Parent and husband Patrick, Lorraine Davis, and husband Raymond. He had 14 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
