To the Editor:

As a fellow Poland resident, I hope to see as many of you as possible at this year’s Town Meeting [April 2, 9 a.m. at the High School]. Library Trustees and many others have prepared for an important vote on the expansion of the AB Ricker Public Library.

We are the beneficiaries of this growing resource that started decades ago with private donations. Now we can ‘give back.’ More space is needed, not only for books but for the children’s area. Recent events have shown many the importance of sound information.

We are also advised that now is a good time for reasonable financing. It is a rare opportunity that is before us. We would be able to see groundbreaking results before next year.

More information is available at the Library on Main Street, and at our next Trustees Meeting, open to the public, on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. We hope to see you on April 2.
