The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club has announced its winners of the 2022 Oratorical Contest, held Feb. 16.
Alyssa Mason, Poland Community School, was the first-place winner. Blake Brown, Minot Consolidated School, placed second. Lila Martin, PCS, placed third. All are in sixth grade.
The topic for the 2022 Oratorical Contest was “Staying Optimistic in Challenging Times,” according to a news release from Regional School Unit 16 in Poland.
