Laurette H. Poulin

FARMINGTON – Laurette H. Poulin, 87, a former resident of Jay, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Sandy River Nursing Home in Farmington.

She was born June 19, 1934, in Chisholm, the daughter of Marcel and Celina (Legere) Henry. Laurette attended St. Rose of Lima School and Jay High School.

On April 28, 1956, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Laurier J. Poulin. They were married for 46 years before his passing in 2002.

Laurette was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Resurrection Choir, and the Eucharistic Minister, and a CCD Teacher. Laurette was always up for a game of cards or a round of bowling.

She is survived by her sons Mark Poulin of Massachusetts, and Kevin Poulin and wife Cathy of Maine, her daughters Susan Greenwood of Massachusetts, and Lisa Magrath and husband Ron of Maine; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Hawthorne, Kimberly Propert, Amanda Dudley, Alex Magrath, Haley Poulin, Benjamin Poulin, Corinne Poulin, and Nathan Dallaire; six great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Poulin, Elaine Henry, and Theresa Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Laurier; son-in-law, Brian Greenwood; her brothers Fidele, Patrick, Raymond, and Pete Henry, and her sisters Elise Langlois, Rose Leblanc, and Mimi Frechette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 25, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St., in Jay. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 24 at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Interment will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St., Livermore Falls.
