Andrew Gerrier

LIVERMORE FALLS – Andrew Gerrier, 76, passed away on March 11, 2022 at home in Livermore Falls.

He was born on Dec. 1, 1945 in Rumford, son of Eugene and Genevieve (Garon) Gerrier. He attended school in Rumford and graduated from Stephens High School in 1965.

Andrew proudly served his country in the U.S. Army entering in 1966 and honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1968. He was deployed to Vietnam where he earned and was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Andrew worked at Twin Rivers Lumber in Dixfield. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, and the American Legion. He enjoyed talking about and watching the Yankees, spending time with his pets as well as going hunting and fishing.

Andrew is survived by his beloved companion and best friend, Cathy Brooks; his fur buddy that slept with him every night, Pee-Wee; brothers Tom Gerrier of Industry and Mike Gerrier (Jane) of Oregon, Ohio; nieces Missy Gerrier-Satagaj (Robert) of Portland, Conn., Katie Clere (Andrew) of Oregon, Ohio, and Nichole Rogers of Augusta, nephews EJ Gerrier of Dixfield, Brian Gerrier (Amy) of Oregon, Ohio, Nicholas Allen Washington, D.C., and Ed Duguay II of Winthrop; many great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; as well as by his sister, Patricia Gerrier and brothers Tim Gerrier, and Edmund Duguay.

A graveside service with military honors will be held later in the spring at the Moose Hill Cemetery in Livermore Falls. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Services, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04983.
