Linda E. Carroll

AUBURN – Linda E. Carroll, 79, of Oxford, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Androscoggin Hospice House. She was born in Haverhill, Mass. on Jan. 10, 1943, the daughter of James and Vivian Johnson.

Linda met the love of her life Stanley Carroll while employed at LaGassie Carnivals in Massachusetts.

After moving to Oxford she and Stanley owned and operated the Brown Bag Restaurant for many years. She later worked for SAD #17, the Progress Center and at several local convenience stores. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Oxford, as well as the church women’s group and fellowship committee. She had been a Cub scout, Girl scout and Brownie troop leader and softball coach for the Town of Oxford over the years. She enjoyed camping, dancing, yard saleing and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Holt and husband Scott of Bethel, sons James Carroll and wife Sallie of Lockport, N.Y. and Michael Carroll of Tyngsborough, Mass., daughter, Deborah Jean Carroll of South Paris; brother, Robert Johnson and wife Jean of Derry, N.H.; grandchildren Alexis Whitman of Southborough, Mass., DeAnnaka Holt of Bethel, Kira Kurtz of Oakfield, N.Y., Daniel Carroll of Oakfield, N.Y., Rebekah Carroll of Lockport, N.Y., Charis Carroll of Dracut, Mass., Henry Carroll and Devan Carroll both of South Paris; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stanley Carroll of Oxford; brother, Ronald Johnson of Laconia, N.H.; and grandson, Michael P. Carroll II of Dracut, Mass.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church in Oxford.
