Margaret Jordan Ramsay
AUBURN – Margaret Jordan Ramsay, 99, died on Sunday March 6, 2022, at Clover Health Care in Auburn.
Margaret was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 31, 1922, the daughter of Hugh and Harriet (Morton) Thomson. She attended Holyoke High School in Holyoke, Mass. After graduation she served her country during WWII by joining the United States Navy as a WAVE. After the war she spent a year in secretarial school and went to work for Harold Goss Hardware.
Margaret was a member of the Court Street Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir. She also spent many hours working in the clothes closet program for the church. She also was a water safety instructor to the youth of Auburn.
Margaret is survived by her children Lois Jordan, Alison J. Parker, Blaine Jordan and his wife Diane, James Jordan and his wife Kathy, daughter-in-law, Leane Jordan; sister, Betty Jubinville; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husbands Norman E. Jordan and Donald J. Ramsay; and son, Thomas Jordan.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the caregivers and staff at Clover Manor and those at Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice for their help in caring for their mother.
