VERMONT – Sharon L. Stevens, 69, passed Feb. 26, 2022, at the Miller Mcclure Respite House in Colchester, Vermont. Sharon was born April 15, 1952, in Sommerville, N.J., to Robert T and June McGhee Stevens. She attended Canton Elementary and graduated from Dirigo high School, class of 1970. During high school she played the piano and organ for the Canton Baptist Church. She attended the Northern Maine Conservatory of Music in Bangor until it closed then transferred to Keene State College, Keene, New Hampshire. She enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1976, as an electronic mechanic, making the rank of sergeant, before being discharged in 1980. Sharon then attended Champlain College graduating with a degree in computers,and went to work at IBM. She played weekly for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception church for seven years.Sharon is survived by her sister, Robyn McClintock, Canton; nephews, Robert (Carly) McClintock, Clayton McClintock, nieces, Rachel (Bradley) Wagoner, Kaitlyn (Richardo) Solano, Payton McClintock and numerous great nieces and nephews.She is also survived by aunts, Virginia Verrill, Bernice Stevens, and uncles, Kenneth (Jeannie) McGhee, Fred McGhee, and numerous cousins. Sharon had many friends in Vermont that were like family to her, and I thank them for that!Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and June Stevens and niece Angela McClintockGraveside service will take place in the summer at Hillside Cemetery, Canton Point, Maine.
