Joan Marie Monique (Dionne) Morin

MINOT – Joan Marie Monique (Dionne) Morin of Minot passed away on April 1, 2022, just five days after her 79th birthday, at home surrounded by her family singing to her and praying with her as she wished. She was a resident of Minot, having lived most of her life in Auburn and Sabattus. Born in Lewiston on March 27, 1943, she was the daughter of George and Gertrude Dionne. Joan was a 1961 graduate of Sabattus High School and she was instrumental in the acquisition of several college degrees by her husband and children, therefore deserving of the recognition that goes along with such support. She was a homemaker most of her life and is best remembered for her love of cooking and sewing, both of which allowed her to have her own catering business called Delicate Touch Cakes and Catering and an alterations business called JoJo’s Mending and Alterations at some time in her life.She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and a proud member of the church choir for years until her illness prevented her from doing so any longer. Over the years she took part in several social groups such as the Woman’s Club in Sabattus, the Red Hats and Le Rencountre where she enjoyed meeting with friends for lunch on a monthly basis.She is survived by her loving husband Robert, of nearly 60 years, her daughter Bonita (Bonnie) and her daughters Andreaska and Victoria of Auburn , her son Steve and partner Barbara with his daughters Tyler Jean, Domonique, Olivia and, Tyler Jean’s son Levi of Lewiston, Rok and wife Mary Ellen with their children Victoria, Nikita, Gabrielle and Liam of Phippsburgh, and Shane of Minot as well as her brother in law Terry of Michigan, sisters in law Helen and Rachel both of Auburn and many nieces, nephews and friends, all who loved her very much. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Gertrude, her in- laws Gerard and Jeanne, her brother Norm, and sister Diane.
