Ryan Ricci

PARIS — Ryan Ricci of Paris has announced his candidacy for the Maine House of Representatives for House District 79 which will include the towns of Paris, Sumner, West Paris, and Woodstock.

Ricci is a lifelong resident of Paris, a local graduate of Oxford Hills High School, and a college graduate of Johnson & Wales University with degrees in Culinary Arts, Sports and Event Management, as well as Environmental Sustainability.

Most notably, Ryan Ricci is a local business owner of the restaurant 290 Maine Street located in Norway.

“As a local business owner, I have a first-hand understanding of the challenges Maine businesses and employers are facing during this difficult time,” said Ricci. “From adapting to COVID protocols in real-time, to managing through our current workforce shortage, our government truly impacts everyday working Mainers. In Augusta, I believe I can be a strong advocate on behalf of our area.”

Additionally, Ryan Ricci serves his community on several levels including the Oxford Hills Tech School Board, Destination Paris (a before and after school enrichment program), multiple scholarships benefiting SAD 17 students, as well as coaching the Freshman Girls Basketball Team at OHCHS.

As State Representative, Ryan Ricci pledges to put the divisiveness of politics aside while focusing on putting people first. “In my opinion, people are tired of politicians fighting amongst themselves while everyday Mainers are struggling. At our State Capitol, I’ll put my effort towards being part of the solution and prioritizing people over politics,” said Ricci.

Ricci is seeking the Republican nomination for the June 14 Primary Election.
