Matthew John Lancaster
FARMINGTON – Matthew John Lancaster, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 1, 2022 in Farmington. Matt was born on Christmas day 1991, A Gift From God.
Matt was known for his love of sports, particularly the NY Giants. In high school he played on the offense/defense line for the mighty Jay Tigers #51 and made their way to Lobster Bowl.
Matt worked as a lumberman, deep sea fisherman, well drilling and Northeast Coil.
Matt leaves behind those who will cherish their memories of him, his young son, Grayson and mother, Katrina; his parents, mother Bethany Lancaster and father Michael Babb; brothers, Brady, Josh and Tyler, sisters, Lorrissa and Christie; his grandmothers, Arline Terrien and Barbara Thibeau; his uncles, John Korhonen, Stephen Lancaster and Scott Babb; his aunt Michelle Alexsuk; and many cousins. Matthew was predeceased by his grandfathers, Stephen L. Lancaster, Robert Babb, Sr. and Ted Thibeau; and a close cousin Alex Pond.
A private service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church Steet, Livermore Falls, Maine. A private visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to service.
