PARIS — The Select Board will hold a workshop on the 2022-23 municipal budget April 21 at 6 p.m. at the Town Office.

The board will review the proposals from each department head, make cuts or additions, and finalize the budget before eventually sending it to voters.

Town Manager Dawn Noyes noted at Monday’s board meeting that she is still tweaking and adjusting the numbers due to rising energy and other costs. The budget is likely to be higher than the $4.3 million approved by voters last year.

In other business, selectmen approved a remote participation policy to enable board members to vote via Zoom if they can’t attend in person.

The board also voted to dedicate this year’s annual town report to Paris residents who died in past year.

A discussion on the code enforcement officer and the licensed plumbing inspector was tabled to the next meeting because only Scott McElravy and Peter Kilgore were available to vote, one less than required. Chairman Christopher Summers is the code enforcement officer. Selectman Carlton Sprague was absent and Walter Perry has resigned, leaving that seat vacant.
