The 22nd Annual Beth C. Wright Walk For Life is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, at the Addison Town Hall and the Tuscan Lodge, both on Water Street in Addison.

Activities run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Walk For Life is a special day to remember and honor those who have been affected by cancer. This year walkers and their families are encouraged to make signs honoring their loved ones who have battled or are currently battling cancer to post along the walk route, according to a news release from the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center in Ellsworth.

Activities for the 2022 Walk will include 1-, 2- or 5-mile walking route options, a 5-mile road race (separate registration), a Chinese auction, a craft fair, children’s activities, a lobster raffle, music and a barbecue lunch.

All proceeds from the walk will go directly to the resource center to help carry out its mission of bringing support services and guidance to those affected by cancer living in Washington and Hancock counties.

The center offers several options to fundraise or donate. Participants can register as an individual or form a team to raise funds. All walker/runners will get a 2022 Walk for Life T-shirt with a donation of $25 or more. There will also be special recognition for top individual and team fundraisers. Registration is open until May 14.

Participants can create their own personal website on the Beth C. Wright Walk For Life page. To register, visit bethwrightcancercenter.org.

To register with by paper registration or donate by cash or check, or ask questions or for help, call the center at 207-664-0339 or email info@bethwrightcancercenter.org.
